When this question comes around during your interview, it’s your
time to shine. Think of your biggest accomplishment at your prior place of
employment or a big project in college if you are at the entry level. Don’t
be to cocky, but do express some pride in your work. Remember that you are
attempting to describe a situation where you went “Above and Beyond,” so you
are going to have to think of an accomplishment, which was not required. Just
doing your job is one thing, but going above and beyond includes tasks, which
you are not necessarily required to perform. Keep the following in mind when
answering this question:
- Highlight your abilities by citing a specific
example.
- Be specific about the example and provide
details.
- Show your awareness for the needs of others.
- Show pride in your work and accomplishments.
